Hello there! My name is Louie, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, and playful black DSH/ Bombay mix fella who was born around Halloween in late October 2017. I have a sleek coat that's as shiny as black patent leather and copper-penny eyes. I love to curl up in my foster meowmy's lap or snuggle with my little sister Dewey or both simultaneously! This is not surprising because we Bombay mixes are often called Velcro kitties because we are so attached to our humans. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the attached video that appeared on Animal Planet or google 'Cats 101 Bombay.' Can you believe that an adorable dude like me had rather ... (Read More)hardscrabble beginnings? My brother Huey, my sister Dewey, and I were orphaned at 5 weeks of age, and a Good Samaritan rescued us and brought us to a vet, who contacted Buster's Friends, who is renowned for having a heart for black cats. What a relief that I don't have to contend with the dangerous life on the streets any more and that the food and water bowls are full and my beds are warm and cozy. I get along great with the other cats in my foster home, but I have not been around dogs or kids yet. As much as I like it here, I know that I deserve a home of my very own. Won't you come meet me (and Huey and Dewey, for that matter!) because adopting two kittens is more fun than just one. I promise that you will fall in love with me because I'm just a big bundle of love! Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. Louie is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Louie, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive

My name is Deej. I am an all Black Bombay Kitten. I was rescued in July 2017 beside a dumpster with my brothers Shodu and Wicket. I was at the time 3 weeks old and an injury to my tail that caused a partial amputation 1/2 of my tail is gone. It's all healed up now and better, the hair has grown back. Gives me a unique appearance. It doesn't stop me from being a major cuddle bug. I love to be healed and will tell you, or will find the opportunity if you let me jump into your arms. I love to sleep next to you, on you or curled up next to you. Sometimes I love to be under the covers. I have not been neutered yet but, I am scheduled soon for all ... (Read More)my vaccinations and neuter appt. I am in Fort Worth, Texas and still hang out with my brother Wicket-he's a tabby. You can see him in my video link with this posting. Shodu unfortunately didn't make it and passed away within the first 12 hours of being found. My unique name was given because my brothers and I being 3 rescued kittens one very hot afternoon are names from the Star Wars Ewok trio. I love to talk and play, because I am still a kitten. I'm very special and looking for a very special home I can call my own. Might you be the home I am looking for? Please email Lee Ann for my application and or more information about me.     Hi, they call me Lula, and I'm a darling and beautiful black DSH/ Bombay mix gal with a white pendant at my throat and copper-penny eyes who was born in June 2017. I'm the perfect mix of sweet and cuddly along with active and playful. Like a typical kitten, I love to play with the other kitty fosters in my home, so it's hard for my foster meowmy to catch a good photo of me. When I'm thoroughly tuckered out is when I love to crawl up in my foster meowmy's lap for a snooze and a photo session. We Bombay mixes are often called Velcro kitties because we are so attached to our humans. I'm an orphan, but I've mixed in well with the other foster ... (Read More)cats so that we even groom each other. I'm just glad to be safe inside because I was rescued from an apartment complex where dubious tenants had bludgeoned one of the other strays with a baseball bat. Some Buster's Friends volunteers didn't want me to suffer the same fate, so thankfully I was brought into my foster home. Now I'm ready for my forever home, so please arrange to meet me so I can cuddle up in your lap (that is, after you've worn me out with the laser light!) Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.'     Hello there! My name is Pitch, and I am a handsome black DSH/ Bombay mix fella who was born in October 2016. I've got the Bombay mix's shiny and sleek black patent-leather coat, big round copper-penny eyes, and muscular, lithe body. What's unusual about me is that I've got a white 'pendant' spot on my chest! I get along great with other kitties and small dogs but can be a little timid with people until I get to know you. I don't hide all of the time like some shy cats, but I definitely need TLC initially to get me to warm up to you. Now that I know that I am safe with my loving foster mom, I get in her lap to watch TV with her! Her patience ... (Read More)has paid big dividends! I was found all alone as a stray orphan kitten, so you can probably understand that I learned to be self-protective while I was fending for myself on the streets at such a young age. Fortunately, Buster's Friends group loves black cats, so my foster mom scooped me up when she saw me in a shelter. We all know what happens to black cats who end up in shelters! Now I'm delighted that my hardscrabble days are behind me and that I've got food and love lavished on me every day in my foster home. I need someone who sees my potential and who will be patient enough to let me trust you. If you can find it in your heart to give me a chance, I would be so grateful! You'll never regret it! Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the 2-3 minute You Tube video that appeared on Animal Planet by Googling 'Cats 101 Bombay.' Pitch is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Pitch and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
